Partner with Newmedica

Changing lives through better sight and eye health

Feel the freedom of being a partner

Partnership is at the heart of our success at Newmedica. We’re not one huge business, we’re multiple small ones, owned and run by our partners. And you could be one of them. Here, you’ll never be on your own. You and your partners will manage the day to day running of the business and we’ll be there right by your side with all the support you need to be successful.

Our formula is partnering a team of clinical directors with an operations director and providing world-class support services looks set to change eyecare for the better across the country. Our aim is to establish a national network of ophthalmology partnerships, working in conjunction with optometrists to deliver an exceptional, accessible and cost-effective service to NHS and private patients.

Practice design – with patient care at its heart

All clinics are built to the highest standards with bright, spacious and modern reception and waiting areas, designed to be patient friendly and including air conditioning and plenty of natural daylight wherever possible. They are fitted out to CQC standards with high quality clinical areas including an operating theatre, treatment rooms, recovery areas and consulting rooms with leading diagnostic and ophthalmic equipment. The clinics follow a clearly defined brand, layout and build blueprint. Quality and consistency are our hallmark and will help to establish the brand as national awareness grows.

Why become a partner?

The Newmedica joint venture partnership model means that each clinic is part-owned and managed by its own directors. The directors are shareholders in their own business and are supported by our support office teams across a range of specialist services such as marketing, finance, IT and our procurement and purchasing. This model ensures that consultant ophthalmologist can concentrate on delivering what they do best – providing expert eye care to their patients. Working together across the Partnership as a Newmedica partner, you are never alone.

Working in partnership with Newmedica, and with the expert support and guidance of a leading ophthalmology provider and a successful global brand, there is no limit to what you can achieve.

Steps to partnership

We want all potential partners to clearly understand Newmedica’s vision for community ophthalmology, the roles and responsibilities within our Joint Venture Partnerships, and how the business model operates.

During the process, we’ll explore available geographical locations and discuss the timescales involved.

The partner approval journey includes interviews, site visits, and psychometric testing with our panel of directors. Once approved, and if a live site is available, we’ll share detailed plans for the proposed joint venture, including the business plan. From there, you’ll be actively involved in setting up the clinic and supported by our teams every step of the way to ensure its success.

If there isn’t an immediate opportunity, we’ll invite you to join The Orangery—our partner pipeline. You’ll receive quarterly updates and remain on our radar for future opportunities.

I’m passionate about providing the best possible care to patients and like many of my fellow ophthalmologists, I am frustrated by all the challenges we face in the NHS. I have no doubt that ophthalmology and optometry need to work together to design new and innovative pathways to deliver the quantity and quality of care that our community needs. The Ophthalmology Joint Venture Partnership with Newmedica is the vehicle that will ensure we can deliver the change that needs to happen.’
