A fully regulated service across England
The service provided by Newmedica is fully regulated, inspected and rated by the CQC,
We welcome and comply with the registration and inspection and auditing process that regulation brings. We firmly believe that this commitment to transparency and quality can only drive the best possible experience for the patients we support.
We are fully regulated by the CQC.
What is the Care Quality Commission?
The CQC are an independent regulator of NHS & private health and social care settings across England (the remit does not extend to Scotland/Wales who have their own regulators; Health Improvement Scotland / Health Inspectorate Wales). The primary role of the CQC is to ensure that all healthcare services provide safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.
All Newmedica services are registered with the CQC prior to opening to ensure patient safety remains our top priority - right from the start!
How does the CQC monitor our services?
The CQC monitors all healthcare services in a variety of ways:
Onsite clinical inspections
Information requests
Following an incident or complaint occurring.
We're always happy to comply with any information request and believe that being open and transparent in the delivery of care is so important to us.
CQC inspection information
The CQC have a website www.cqc.org.uk where they publish inspection reports for all services they inspect – all Newmedica services inspected to date can be found on the CQC website.
Following an inspection, the CQC will apply an overall rating of the service: Outstanding / Good / Requires Improvement / Inadequate.
Any issues noted by the CQC are used proactively across the Newmedica services to maintain & improve the treatment and service we deliver to our patients.
Is the CQC positive for Newmedica?
Yes, it is! It allows our services to showcase the high standards of patient care that we deliver each and every day, ensuring everyone can expect to be receive the same standard of care - whichever Newmedica door in the country they walk through.
One very important thing to note; the CQC value patient opinions, they see the patient as the pivotal part in assessing a service – our patients comments / concerns are so important to us too and we use this information to make our care even better – putting you at the centre of everything we do.
