Sohraab Yadav

I specialise in minimally-invasive cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery and lacrimal surgery. I’m also the director of emergency eyecare services for Shropshire.

I qualified as a doctor in 2010 having received a university scholarship, multiple awards, distinctions and honours. I completed my ophthalmology training in the North West, including advanced oculoplastics training and high volume cataract surgery. I’ve also undertaken an intense training fellowship in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.

I’ve published many articles in respected journals covering a range of ophthalmology topics. My work has been presented at several international conferences. I’m an invited reviewer for a number of journals, including the British Journal of Ophthalmology.

I continuously review and audit my work to ensure I maintain a high professional standard. I’m a member of several professional groups including the Shropshire Skin Cancer MDT and British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.

I take a leading role in training students, doctors, nurses and allied professionals. I’m a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ surgical skills faculty and have successfully trained several ophthalmologists to perform independent cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
